UNI-PCSC Sustainability Development

Sustainability Focus

The pace of sustainability transformation in the retail industry is accelerating, and President Chain Store Corporation has taken the lead. Since 2021, the Company has established four key task forces—carbon reduction, plastic reduction, food waste reduction, and sustainable procurement—to drive green operations at its core.

In recent years, the concept of “green energy operations” has been further integrated into business operations. Leveraging a network of over 7,100 stores across Taiwan, the Company connects its supply chain and affiliates through advanced logistics and energy management systems. By actively promoting energy-saving and carbon reduction initiatives, it reduces emissions while enhancing operational efficiency, building a resilient retail ecosystem and extending sustainability to consumers’ daily lives.

Smart Logistics

President Chain Store Corporation works with its affiliated enterprises, including Retail Support International, Uni-President Cold-Chain Corporation, Wisdom Distribution Service Corporation, and President Logistics International Corporation, to deliver high-quality products that consumers across Taiwan can trust through comprehensive logistics management. The Company also actively adopts various logistics energy conservation and carbon reduction strategies to improve energy use efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and promptly respond to the needs of low-carbon operations. In recent years, it has gradually introduced logistics vehicles compliant with newer environmental standards, same-time delivery of frozen and refrigerated goods, and automated distribution. It has also further deepened carbon reduction measures at logistics centers by introducing t-Sort sorting robots for automatic sorting and delivery; using low-carbon pallets made by compressing recycled and residual wood; and introducing electric collection and delivery vehicles focused on “direct delivery from farm to table” to make green logistics a reality.

President Chain Store Corporation showcased its t-Sort sorting robot solution at SDG Asia, which enables automatic transport and precise product allocation, ushering in a highly efficient logistics model. The Company also exhibited “low-carbon pallets” made by compressing recycled and residual wood, significantly reducing carbon emissions and demonstrating the carbon reduction momentum of its logistics operations.

t-Sort Sorting Robot

The robot automatically sorts and delivers products by simply scanning the barcode and placing the products on the machine, making the process fast and labor-saving. Work efficiency is greatly improved by automating “repetitive, labor-intensive, and error-prone” processes.

Consumables once found in warehouse corners are made by compressing recycled and residual wood, significantly reducing carbon emissions.

Electric Collection and Delivery Vehicle

The electric collection and delivery vehicles of President Transnet Corp. (T-cat) combine sustainable green energy, energy conservation and carbon reduction, and direct delivery to achieve green logistics from farm to table, realizing zero-carbon and low-noise delivery services. Through the transformation of transportation equipment, President Chain Store Corporation hopes to gradually build green logistics that are “carbon-reducing, energy-saving, and highly efficient,” enabling consumers to enjoy a high-quality home delivery experience while also leveraging the Company’s corporate influence to contribute to a sustainable green lifestyle.
